Product Details
In healthy, well-regulated cells, the DNA chains open and close according to the needs for duplication and transcription. Our world is filled with aggressive and toxic compounds as well as hormones capable of causing a disruption of cells by causing an unregulated opening of the DNA. This can have a detrimental effect on the proper functioning of the whole organism.1
Rovol V® is a dietary supplement that contains an extract of the root bark of Rauwolfia vomitoria, an African tree traditionally used as a gentle laxative and a regulator of the hormonal system.2
By opposing the interference that so many [environmental] substances induce because they are used with poor discernment, Rovol V® has a protective effect on cells, promoting healthy cellular regulation, particularly when the hormonal system is challenged.*
Each Rovol V® capsule contains 30 mg of purified Rauwolfia vomitoria extract. Our unique treatment process eliminates reserpine and produces an extract that is very well tolerated.*

Benefits
Our Story Behind The Product
Traditional Use
The generic name Rauwolfia, is named after the 16th century German physician, Leonhart Rauvolf, who traveled the world collecting and documenting medicinal plants. The specific epithet “vomitoria” refers to the purgative and emetic properties of the bark. Rauwolfia is used traditionally against snake bites, fever and nervous disorders.
Ayurvedic Herbs
Known as “Sarpagandha,” Rauwolfia has been known for millennia in India as one of the very important Ayurvedic herbs. The paste of its roots, mixed with rose water, is said to ameliorate mental stress, headache, giddiness and to induce sound sleep.* It was even reported that Mahatma Gandhi used it without reservation as a tranquilizer during his lifetime.
Modern Use
The main alkaloid present in Rauwolfia, called reserpine, was first discovered by the Swiss scientists, Schiller and Muller of CIB Pharmaceuticals in Switzerland in 1952. Reserpine was a major constituent of antihypertensive drugs. Alstonine, another β-carboline alkaloid also present in Rauwolfia, has been isolated and studied since 1952. Beljanski perfected a Rauwolfia vomitoria extract standardized in alstonine, but without reserpine. Beljanski noted that once reserpine was removed from the Rauwolfia extract, the extract had very low toxicity, no hypertensive effect, but a wealth of other benefits.*
A New Dietary Ingredient And Plenty Of New Research
Almost two decades after Beljanski safely introduced in Europe his exclusive extract, Natural Source International (now Maison Beljanski) submitted documentation to the FDA of a reserpine-free Rauwolfia vomitoria extract as a New Dietary Ingredient. Additionally, The Beljanski Foundation has funded research with several academic institutions on Rauwolfia vomitoria. Their findings showcase the benefits of the extract to support prostate, ovarian and pancreatic health.*
